The 30th International Symposium on Translation and Interpreting Teaching
Date: Saturday, June 27, 2026
Venue: Fu Jen Catholic University, Fr. Franz Giet Building of Foreign Languages, 5th Floor
We warmly invite scholars, practitioners, and students to submit papers and explore the many facets of change and continuity in translation and interpreting. We welcome theoretical studies, empirical research, as well as reports on professional practice and pedagogy, including but not limited to the following themes:
Human Identity and Ethics – Roles, professional values, and ethical challenges of translators and interpreters in the digital age.
AI Tools and Practice – Applications of AI and digital technologies in translation and interpreting.
Teaching and Training – Rethinking translation and interpreting education in response to emerging professional demands.
Professional Market Trends – Role transformation, career development, and changes in the translation and interpreting market.
Semiotics and Cultural Dimensions – Language, symbols, and cultural meanings in translation and interpreting in technological contexts.
Other Topics – Classical theories, historical perspectives, stylistics, ethics, and the enduring value of cultural transmission.
We welcome original research, case studies, reflective essays, and professional practice reports. Both early-career and experienced researchers are encouraged to participate.
Abstract Submission
Abstracts may be submitted in Chinese, English, or Japanese.
Please complete the online submission form in the "Call for Papers" section. Provide your personal information and upload an abstract, plus keywords, in Chinese (within 500 characters), English (within 350 words), or Japanese (within 650 characters) to complete your submission.
Notification of acceptance will be sent on March 10, 2026, after the review process.
