The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping the profession of interpreting and translation, its educational models, and the marketplace at an unprecedented pace. As AI tools become part of everyday practice, how should we redefine the role of translators and interpreters? How can we develop future training models that preserve the deeper values of human identity, professional ethics, and cultural mediation?

The 30th International Conference on Translation and Interpreting Teaching is co-hosted this year by Fu Jen Catholic University’s Graduate Institute of Cross-Cultural Studies and the Taiwan Association of Translation and Interpretation. Focusing on the theme of “Legacy, Transformation, and Future Training Models,” the conference seeks to foster dialogue between innovation and tradition, technology and the humanities, amid the ongoing wave of digital transformation.
